Monofilament Thread

Essence monofilament nylon thread is so soft and fine that it practically vanishes into your fabric as you stitch with it. Use Essence on top or in your bobbin for a variety of quilting and embroidery applications, including machine beadwork. Amy loves it for machine applique and for quilting around applique or over multiple colors when multiple changes of thread colors would be tedious.

Essence is .004mm in diameter and has 1500 yards on a small mini-cone.

Available in both clear and smoke (for on dark fabrics).

Avoid the highest heat setting and quilts containing nylon monofilament thread will emerge from the wash/dry cycle intact. There should be no popped or melted stitches.
We suggest taking quilted swatches of each thread and see how applied heat affects each thread product.
Should not use direct contact from an iron when using nylon or even polyester monofilament. Use a pressing cloth and lower heat than usual.
