Each year the Brown Bag Mystery includes a bonus project. It's a bit of a warm-up lesson for the actual Mystery Quilt, incorporating a technique, specific unit, or ruler that will be used in the Brown Bag Mystery Quilt.
Because the release of Brown Bag Kits had to be scheduled later (Feb 10), participating shops can show and sell the Bonus Kits before you buy a Brown Bag Mystery Kit.
The instructions will be hosted in the same Facebook group as the 2025 Mystery, so you must buy a Brown Bag Kit to access the Bonus Project instructions that will be posted there on February 15th.
You can do the Bonus Project with your own fabrics, but we've put together some beautiful options for you.
According to Karen Montgomery, you must use the same ruler that she will use in her instructions, Square on Square Ruler from Creative Grids for the bonus project, and you will love the option of using the same ruler when making your Mystery Quilt. Karen often uses the same ruler in other projects.
The Bonus Project is a table runner that finishes at 16" by 40" and uses a total of 1-½ yards of fabric for the top and binding. Our kits also include a ½ yard for the backing.
These kits are ready to "Grab and GO!"
