Row by Row - Steam Engine Train
The 611 Classic steam engine is "on the go" as it rolls into the hill city of Lynchburg, VA home to Sew Simple of Lynchburg. Steaming the rails between Roanoke, Lynchburg and North Carolina, this steam engine was recently restored and now provides passenger tours through the area. Seven hills dot the landscape of this pattern, like the seven hills Lynchburg encompasses.
The pattern is applique-based and friendly to any applique method. Our sample row was done with turned-edge applique for all but the smallest bits, which were done with with fusible raw edge applique. All pattern pieces are printed in reverse for easier tracing when using fusible applique.
