Basics of Quilting: Piecing

In this two-part series you will learn how to select fabrics, cut accurately, using a mat, ruler, and rotary cutter, while making a simple table runner. Find the elusive “perfect ¼” seam” on your machine and build the skills needed by every quilter. Class is two sessions long, allowing time to first make your blocks, followed by piecing the blocks into the table runner.

This class is followed up with additional classes for 1) Basting the quilt and walking foot quilting and 2) Basic Binding. These classes are stand alone classes, so that you may take them as it fits your schedule.

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: This is a beginner level class, however you must know how to operate your machine and sew a relatively straight line. If you need a lesson on the operation of your sewing machine, we suggest taking our "Learn to Use a Sewing Machine" class.
