Simple Sewing Series: Hemming
The Simple Sewing Series was created to give a variety of sewing experiences to students who have either taken the "Learn to Use a Sewing Machine" class, or have a similar basic set of sewing skills.
Hemming is a true life skill and this class will prepare you to do your own hemming, whether that's to shorten pants or jeans, making cloth napkins, or make sure that dress hem hits at a flattering spot. In this single session, you will learn 4 different hemming techniques.
This is a great class to take after our Learn to Use a Sewing Machine Class.
Bring your own machine and thread or rent one from us for the class.
This is a class for those 13 and over.

Note: Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to class cannot be refunded or carried over to another class. You can arrange for someone else to come in your place, but otherwise there are no exceptions to this policy.

| Skill Details: | Basic sewing skills required: thread machine, sew a fairly straight seam, pressing. Please understand how to thread and use your machine before coming to this class. |

| Requirements: | You will need: Sewing machine in good working order, a blind hem foot (if you have one), bobbin, neutral all-purpose thread, pins, thread snips or scissors. Don't forget your power cord and foot pedal. See the class description for a link to machine rental if you don't have a machine. |

She's passionate about machine education for her Janome customers, loves free motion quilting, was a pioneer in quilting with rulers on a sewing machine, and loves helping people become creative stitchers. |
